President - Rabia Azfar
Currently working as a Manager Business Solutions, CRISS (CYBERNET's Software Wing). Her association with CYBERNET is for almost 5 years. She started her career with a local firm Integrated Devices, before that she was associated with Gerry's Information Technology as a Support Executive. She has been in professional life for now 7 plus years.
She completed her BE majors Electronics in 1994 from Dawood College of Engineering and Technology, Karachi. She has been with IOPWE since mid 2002 and came to know about its objective through a close friend Humaira Shaikh. She is also a member of Corporate IT forum, which represents the Corporate IT Community of Pakistan.
General Secretary - Narmeen Shawoo Bawany
She did B.E (Computer Systems ) from NED and M.S (Computer Engineering with specialization in Software Engineering) from Sir Syed University of Engg & Tech, Karachi.
Presently serving as a Programme Director of Computer Science and IT department at Jinnah University for Women, since August 1999.
Treasurer - Bushra Ahmed
Recently done Bachelors in Computer Sciences from Karachi University and planning to do master in AI/related fields from Australia next year.
She is a member of few other international organizations including ACM(association for computing machinery. Successfully organized mega IT events in the city, also worked with EPB during ITCN ASIA.
Media Coordinator - Maryam Iqbal
She was among 50 students, selected to participate in one week training camp at Nilore, Islamabad based on the preliminary tests for the National Physics Talent Contest held all over Pakistan By PIEAS (Pakistan Institute of Engineering and Applied Sciences), part of PAEC, Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission. She did her BE from NED taking electronic eng course. She was also the captain of badminton team of girls for 3 consecutive years also arranged ieee seminars. She was a position holder in ikebana competition for 2 consecutive times.
She worked in worldcall broadband ltd from Jan 2003- Oct 2003, and recently teaching at Szabist.
Scholarship Coordinator - Sofia Agboatwalla
She has done B.A. Computer Science from McGill University, Montreal, Qubec, Canada. She joined IOPWE with a clear objective: to join professionals who are ready to help others work related, career related and many times personal issues as well. She is keen to struggle for issues related to working conditions for women in Pakistan.
Her last association was with INTERTRUST TECHNOLOGIES CORPORATION, SANTA CLARA, CA from 2001-2002 as a Quality Assurance Engineer Developer Technical Support Engineer.
She has been an active member of IOPWE for last 3 years.
Volunteer - Engr. Humera Rafique
She has done B.E. Electronic Engineering from SSUET and Masters Electronic Engineering Specialized in Telecommunications. She is a Lecturer Electronic Engineering Department (Sir Syed University of Eng. n Tech.) Karachi. Her Area of study/research interest is Signal Processing.
Volunteer - Muhammad Shahhab Siddiqi
Mr. Siddiqui is a Member of IOPWE since 2002. He was the initiator in re-activating IOPWE Karachi Chapter in Year 2004 and was successful to form a group for the year, as a coordinator. he is also a member of IEEE-USA and its Computer Society, working as a Chairman of IEEE Karachi GOLD Affinity Group, since 2003. He is also a Member of IEE-UK and Life Member of Computer Society of Pakistan.
He was awarded Masters of Computer Science and Bachelors of Computer Science from FASTICS, affiliated with Karachi University. He is enrolled in Ph. D. in Computer Science at National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences – Karachi Campus.
He is working as Assistant Professor of Information Technology at the Graduate School of Engineering Sciences and Information Technology, Hamdard University. His areas of expertise are Software Engineering Models and Object-Oriented Programming.
